In 2009, four real estate development industry veterans—Larry Webb, Wayne Stelmar, Joseph Davis and Tom Redwitz—joined together with a vision to start a new homebuilding company. The goal was simple and ambitious: To create a company recognized as the country's best homebuilder. Under that premise, The New Home Company was born in Aliso Viejo, Calif. and this past August, marked its 5th anniversary in business.

Now, five years later, NEW HOME is one of California's most active homebuilders with divisions in Southern and Northern California. After beginning with just a handful of employees, the company is now more than 200 strong and growing. Just six months ago, it successfully completed its initial public offering, with shares of common stock now trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “NWHM”.
This past month, NEW HOME was recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Orange County Business Journal and continues to receive neighborhood honors having won Community of the Year at Rose Lane in Larkspur, Villa Metro in Valencia and Lambert Ranch in Irvine in the past three years.
